The JWs are certainly not the most aggressive and controlling cults out there but they are certainly a cultic organisation of a more subtle kind, they certainly seek to control info flow that's critical to them, expel dissidents without ever explaining to them why their positions are wrong, and their leaders make wild and obviously false claims about themselves and demand total obedience. They also destroyed many families by degrading and shunning ex members.

I didn't used to, even after having serious doubts... but I have begun to think so. There are too many people on depression medication, too many people with serious health problems, too many insane people, in every congregation, for me to think otherwise.

I never felt I was in a cult. I just felt like a square peg in a round hole, always thought It was a problem we me. Finally figured out it was a problem with THEM.
