The Watchtower is quite clever. They know that the average public does not give a damn about their tiny little religion. So they upload their old statement to their website about this rather small incident (in the world's context) knowing that there will be no more questions in a fortnight.
But this does not hold them back from studying the Revelation-book a forth-time stating that every verse in the Bible represents their tiny little religion.
