    1. We are determined to intensify our preaching activity.

    2. To live up to our dedication to Jehovah and give him exclusive devotion.

    3. To follow Jesus' example closely and be no part of the world.

    4. To manifest our loyalty to Jehovah and Jesus and not compromise Bible principles.

    5. Not get involved in interfaith movements.

    6. Remain subject to superior authorities but NOT get involved in political issues.

    7. Be determined to resist spirit of the world; not getting involved in chat rooms, Materialism, Entertainment, Drunkenness, Pornography."

I really am angry about half of these....

The part of the resolution where it says "I will not visit chatrooms" sounds like they are talking to children.

Is this how The Watchtower views their adult baptized followers, as children?

    And what's wrong with Entertainment?

And what about the Materialistism? The WTBTS must be amongst the most materialistic organizations around.

Is this true? Is this the new resolution? How did you find out? Will it be printed in an issue of the Watchtower soon?

Yeah, no entertainment? I think they snuck that one in... people's heads are spinning from everything else, so they won't notice it. It's all crap. I mean, resolution smesolution. How many times did they promise something that went unfulfilled. Best of intentions and everything else, people will just go ahead and do whatever they do and nothing will change. They are just being taught to harden their consciences by stating they won't do something they know they damn sure will. And it's just drawing deeper lines between "stronger" and "weaker" JWs, making the smallest things interable in the eyes of the self-righteous.

This sort of thing doesn't make me angry. It just shows what a weak position they are coming from. Apparently no JW does anything without being threatened to do so first.

I just wish everyone wouldn't stay so silent about all of this. They just nod their heads, say "aye" and nobody says a word about big brother, but they all see it.

    5. Not get involved in interfaith movements.

Ironically the Watchtower Society had the Jehovers Witnesses distribute fliers inviting people of all faiths to attend the District Convention where this is read.

I wonder if this means Jehovers Witnesses are not allowed to attend the District Convention?
