Entire countries deserve to die!

The first scripture we all learned as JWs is in Matthew, "this good news of the kingdom shall be preached to all the earth....and then the end will come." St some point oI pointed out that while the number of hours in the ministry, the number of JWS and the number of baptized continue to go down, the number of people on the planet explodes exponentially and so how is the above even possible? I recall being told or reading that there is a thing called community responsibility and that was the way the Society dismissed the multitudes of people who not only would never convert to JWism, let alone CHristianity but would never be preached to ever. I was told that if a country's GOVERNMENT banned or forbade the preaching work that anyone who lived IN THAT COUNTRY was automatically considered in line for destruction by their mere association with that anti-christ government they "chose" to follow! They had, apparently in the twisted view of the Society, the option to go live where the JWs were allowed and are CHOOSING not to go!

So there is no need to "preach to all the earth" apparently. The Society can summarily dismiss entire continents with the above excuse allowing the fact that its a virtual impossibility to preach to everybody to become a nonfactor in bringing on Armageddon...whenever THEY deem it will happen it will.

The "generation" problem cant stop it, the dismal failure of the 1914 calculation and prophecy cant stop it, the ineptitude of the preaching work cant stop it, 1975 didnt stop it, the falling of the yearly numbers cant stop it (when the numbers go UP Jehovah is blessing the work, when the numbers go DOWN Jehovah is removing the shaft and doing the sorting work...blah blah blah), the fact that no one is supposed to know the day and the hour NOT EVEN THE SON...cant stop it.... The Society has, indeed, made themselves God.

Anyone else heard the above excuses for not reaching the masses or did I dream that?

Yes, i remember the community responsibility doctrine well. Also, the jw preaching work falling behind the population growth rate, it may have been in one of ray franz' books. The numbers showed how, at present rates, the jws are losing ground, and will never be able to accomplish their task. Less people would have needed to be killed if god had done the dirty wt armageddon deed 100 yrs ago. That would have been the more merciful thing for the wt god to do, imo. Starting the new world paradise w bible students instead of present day or future jws would probably have been better as well.

I thought this was going to be about the poster "Gregor's" political views.

That collective responsibility of the nations is what first got me thinking that the JWs were a wayward organisation, at least Russell thought of Armageddon as the destruction of human governments, not of mankind.

They have failed to penetrate half the world most of their members came from Christian religions, but armageddon has to come so they contrived that absurd excuse, all the more absurd when we think that the big A destruction will be crashingly final and not temporary.

In addition the JWs are hardly Christian so how can they preach the gospel? For them everything is Jehovah centred.

As you say - There is no reason for whole civilisations to be destroyed because they failed to attend Watchtower Society meetings, or read all their latest publications.

Millions of people around the world have never even been offered a Watchtower.

Today, that prophecy is in the course of fulfillment on an unprecedented scale. True, untouched territories still exist, and it may be that in Jehovah’s due time, a large door leading to greater activity will open. (1 Corinthians 16:9) Nevertheless, the Bible does not state that Jehovah will wait until every individual on earth has received a personal witness. Rather, the good news must be preached to Jehovah’s satisfaction. Then the end will come.—Compare Matthew 10:23.

"Rather, the good news must be preached to Jehovah’s satisfaction. Then the end will come"

...and of course WE as the almighty SoSIGHitty will determine Jehovahs thoughts on that matter since Jehovah himself doesnt really exist, and is, in fact US.

AHHH The good old doctrine of community responsibility. You choose to live in a communist country or in North Korea so you have to reap the results.

I teased an elder with the comment that we should be allowed to VOTE then because even in democratic lands some governments will be more willing to accept witnesses and their door to door work than others. We would be aiding the spread of the "good news"™ if we voted. I was referring to Quebec in the 50's and 60's. He offered no comment in reply.

No excuses - the WTB&TS has failed to reach billions.
India and China both have population of greater than a billion. Publishers in India 24,000,; China unknown but likelyhood is less than 24,000. In reality it means that close on 2 Billion people alive today (or 1/3 of the population) has not, and is unlikely to, receive a witness!

It doesn't matter how many people they get to - it isn't even good news
