Sorry you're not feeling well! A rest break sounds like a good idea. Can you check into FMLA? That stands for "Family Medical Leave Act" which is for a serious health condition and the employer isn't allowed to take adverse action regarding your attendance if your Doctor signs the form. It is federally protected sick leave, and the company can't do anything for up to twelve weeks a year. Worth checking into, if you go back and need to miss work from time to time. Hope you feel better!

Well I sure hope they pay your medical insurance!..

When I did that I had to pay..it wasn't much but I still had to pay!

Later when I went on long term I had to take cobra..that was really expensive!

I finally retired early and kept the cobra as long as I could. I believe it was for 3 years?

I got screwd out of retiree insurance when they merged with another bank. I didn't find out until AFTER I retired. I was so pissed!!!!!!!

Snoozy..who can't wait for medicare next year...

Snoozy, I have medical insurance through my husband. I have paid for short-term and long-term disability through my job. I, also, paid for a cancer rider. If it is myelodysplasia, the cancer rider SHOULD (you know insurance) become effective. I'll just have to wait and see.

Virgo, I took an FMLA leave.

Scully, shift work is kicking my butt big time. No, we don't have a union here, which sucks. I'm going to try to get my body turned back around to dayshift.

Curious as to what your hematocrit levels are. Your HGB levels seem low considering a healthy person is around 12 to 18 grams per deciliter. Hematocrit levels should be in there 40's. I have gone round and round with docs who only look at doing anything when levels start tanking. Many do not seem concerned with getting levels up to healthy standards. If I were you I would push your doc or another in to getting therapy to stabilize RBC, etc. as that might be the reason you are tired all of the time, not enough oxygenation of the blood. As I mentioned before you might want to look into taking gliSODin (SOD) as it will also help in RBC, oxygenation of blood and general well being (it is a very potent anti-oxidant), and mitochondira protector. You can get it online without a script.

MsMcD, hope I didn't offend you about the FMLA. I was wrong to assume you maybe hadn't heard about it. It's just that lots of companies don't exactly want their employees using it, and they kind of keep it hush-hush. Good, at least they can't punish you when you go back. I am sending healing thoughts your way, you are too sweet to stay down long!
