A couple of years ago (the last DC I attended) my mother was in a wheelchair due to a leg injury. We got there after the sessions had started and didn't know where the wheelchair seating was (it used to be in a certain room, but they cancelled using that room that year). I had to ask several attendants before we found one that told us where some seating was. There was a spot for her wheelchair and a seat for me. The attendant told us we could only sit there for the morning because that spot was "saved" for the afternoon. This came from an attendant!!!!

I have to say I was disgusted with the whole arrangement for people with special needs. There wasn't even enough reserved parking, I had to drop my mom off and go and park in BF Idaho. If she was by herself in a chair, I don't think she'd have been able to manage it.

Warlock, you seem like one cool dude! I also remember the seat saving scam. Of course attendants and elders were allowed in early, and sure enough they always picked out the best seats they could.

it is " suggested" that you sit in the area you have been assigned to clean.

you show your willingness to submit to the authority of the faithful and discreet slave by following any and all " suggestions"

Jehovah's daily book of life log:

DC: day 1 AM session: Candidly Nuts sat with congo. Include in book of life? Yes X No _____

DC: day 1 PM session: Candidly Nuts did NOT sit with congo. Include in book of life? Yes ____ No X

DC: day 2 AM session: Candidly Nuts sat with congo. Include in book of life? Yes X No _____

DC: day 2 PM session: Candidly Nuts did NOT sit with congo. Include in book of life? Yes ____ No X

Note: it would appear that Mz. Nuts and her family do not take obedience to the FDS, Overseers or elders seriously. This is a serious violation of my policy on seating. Watch with even closer scrutiny.

DC: day 3 AM session: Candidly Nuts sat with congo. Include in book of life? Yes X No _____

DC: day 3 PM session: Candidly Nuts did NOT sit with congo. Include in book of life? Yes ____ No X

Note: there seems to be a pattern of willful disobedience and refusal to take seating policy seriously. This is a clear case of apostasy and I think blasphemy.

Looks like the elders need to "mark" Candidly.

I remember Candi that arrangement - encouraging each cong. to sit in an assigned area for cleaning after each day.

Warlock - Those are food tickys from the ' 70s.

The tickets for the 1980's were also in 10 cent increments, but if I remember correctly, the last time they had those they were orange or red.

They changed the color every year so you couldn't use the previous years ones! And the ones for the Circuit Assembly had a different design! Ka-ching!

No eating outside food--there is a practical reason for this. The Witnesses don't want the venue's normal vendors to be selling food in there--both because they don't want "commercialism" in "Jehovah's house" and because they don't want the 68% of Witnesses who are window washers and janitors to have to pay $4 for a 6" hot dog and 4oz of watered-down Pepsi. The thing is if the Witnesses are just going to go next door to the McD's for a burger, the venue management is going to be like "WTF dude, next year we're keeping the onsite vendors in." So the Society can actually RELIABLY NEGOTIATE THAT THEIR PEOPLE WON'T GO TO McD's. If this isn't evidence that they are a high-control group, I don't know what is.

The real problem....Most venues now have BEER SALES also. Could you imagine if they had to allow all vendors to open during assemblies. The mind boggles.
