Hello Dune, much thanks for your update. I agree with what has been said, you did the right thing to do. The development is positive in that the mother and her daughter moved away from the molester. Your reporting to the police will enable them to proceed in the right way and ensure the family receives support and if necessary protection. I think in time the mother and her daughters will give you a big thank you. I am also happy the few indications so far show that this dark secret can no longer be covered neither continue. What a relief! The elders most likely will try to hide this form the congregation, but it’ll surly do some shaking.

Dune: You did a courageous thing. It must have been a very difficult thing for you to do, but be assured it was the right thing. There will be fallout from this--the family may break up, the molester prosecuted, who knows? Some of the family and some of the JWs may blame you for causing all the upheaval and unpleasantness that will result. Just remember -- THE MOLESTER CAUSED ALL THIS TROUBLE; NOT YOU. Never feel you make a mistake by exposing this crime.
