Rebel8, I loved the convention program. Very good work. Someone should dress like a JW and stand outside a convention and hand them out to the dubs as they walk in. Should be a great laugh for awhile until some elder runs out and stops it. LOL.
Can anybody confirm that a seven part Resolution was adopted at the end of the convention?

Yes, there was that resolution. They do them about every 5 years it seems. The zealots up in the front row love it. I managed to disengage myself from the adjacent rabble and hover around the upper corridors, out of sight of anyone whilst they all said "aye!" after the speaker extolled the virtues of Jehoover and the wickedness of the world. I was pleased to hear a distinct lack of affirmation and solidarity in the pitch of the "aye" from the convention audience.
Version 1
1. We are determined to intensify our preaching activity.
2. To live up to our dedication to Jehovah and give him exclusive devotion.
3. To follow Jesus' example closely and be no part of the world.
4. To manifest our loyalty to Jehovah and Jesus and not compromise Bible principles.
5. Not get involved in interfaith movements.
6. Remain subject to superior authorities but NOT get involved in politcal issues.
7. Be determined to resist spirit of the world. (The points you made were included along with [if my hearing was correct]: not getting involved in chat rooms). Version 2 "We the FADS have solemly resolved and determined to do the following, given the nearness of our deliverance":

1) Glorify Jehovah by continuing to manifest "the fruits of holy spirit". Cooperate with the spirit and the organization.
2) Offer "fruit of lips" to give a public declaration of Jehovah's message.
3) Continue to denounce untruths that are not in line with god's word. Included were: evolution, idol worship, the trinity, etc.
4) Bring up children in "discipline and mental regulation of Jehovah".
5) Praise Jehovah by means of our conduct. This applies to all times and circumstances in our life.
6) Do not attribute to creatures what belongs to god. Don't give undue admiration to athletes, movie stars, etc.
7) Maintain "Christain neutrality" in world affairs, even if it means being hated by the world.
8) Give god glory by reading his word daily. Reject propaganda that is not with his word; make sure statements conform to the pattern of "healthful words".
9) Praise Jehovah with "one mouth" in the Christain brotherhood. We should preach in unison.
10) Give Jehovah glory by keeping his kingdom first in our lives. We should use our energy and "valuable things" to reach this end.
