Hmmm. I find the title very interesting. Notice it says "Live.......with Jehovah's day in mind". Almost saying "live your life, but just remember armageddon is just around the corner". Could this signal a change in philosophy? As opposed to the typical watchtower spew: "Put your life on hold.....armageddon is just around the corner?"

I wonder if this will be a nebulous admission that they dont really know when armageddon will be (and with the 1914 generation change it technically could be at ANY future date) so do "live your life" but keep peddling our literature and obeying our corporation? This would be a different spin. They would be complete fools to stir another hornets nest similar to the 1975 fiasco. I will be very curious to see this latest propaganda piece.

Yea, also sounds a bit like what BUSH and his ASSministration do when they made those terror alerts.

WTBTS should have a system of alerts too.

    Oh wait....

"Jehovah's Day"...is a theme that resopunds in the last 12 books of the Hebrew scriptures...pg 40 says that by reflecting on the works and writings of these 12 prophets you can develop a "waiting attitude"..."not concerned about when the day will come or how long you have waited for it"...

be like these 12 minor prophets...wait on Jehovah...(guess this doesn't apply to the F&D slave class (tm))...

all the rest is cut and paste...keep your life simple...how to deal with others...beware the snares of the deveil (internet, porno, apostacy divorce, etc, etc)

be zealous despite opposition...rely on Jah (not the WT which will drop you like a hot potato in a NY minute whenever it pleases)

sounds like damage control...people leaving in droves... new recruits limited in the parts of the world which have financial resources...

Questions in each paragraph...so I guess it will be used in some future book study...

amazing how everything that needs to be said is either stretched or condensed into 192 pages...

Let us take Peter’s words to heart. Never fail to be on guard against false teachers. Live with an awareness that Jehovah’s day is coming soon. And always pay attention to God’s prophetic word.

    Still Anticipating Jehovah’s Day

From my earliest recollections more than 70 years ago, I have always felt a keen sense of urgency. Armageddon has always been, in my thinking, the day after tomorrow. (Revelation 16:14, 16) Like my father, and his father before him, I have lived my life as the apostle urged, "keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah." I have always viewed the promised new world as a ‘reality though not beheld.’—2 Peter 3:11, 12; Hebrews 11:1.

w75 5/1 p. 282 par. 16 How Are You Affected by Not Knowing the "Day and Hour"? ***

Did first-century Christians therefore live in a way that ignored the coming of Jehovah’s "day and hour"? Not those who valued their relationship with God as disciples of Jesus Christ. They willingly parted with material possessions so that others might share in their spiritual joys. (Luke 14:33; Phil. 3:7-9)

    day of Jehovah"?—2 Pet. 3:12.

This we do by daily living as if Jehovah’s day for judgment were to come very soon. We would not view it as being far off, allowing us ample time to engage in selfish pursuits and then still have time to turn around and escape the destructive fury of Jehovah’s day.—P. 362.

Going by the title, it looks like the book may be along the lines of the 15 July 2003 Watchtower article "Do You Have a 'Waiting Attitude'?"

Take a look at this article....I can easily picture a book-length version on the same theme, in which case it would be similar to "Choosing the Best Way to Life" with the focus on spelling out all the do's and dont's on how a JW is supposed to live their life....I suspect it is more "didactic" than "prophetic"...

Based on the title, it sounds like the Watchtower Society is cracking the whip on the rank-and-file JWs for not bringing in enough new recruits. As the saying goes... beatings will continue until moral improves.
