Judas I.
One thing you have to remember is that the WT-approach to the Bible is one where there is hidden meaning in almost everything. In their view, the Bible has secretly encoded messages, and one cannot (in their view) understand these deeper things without their deciphering analysis; their claim is that God is using them, and only them, to decrypt these hidden messages. One cannot simply read the Bible and draw simple conclusions, but are directed to hyper-analyze every thought and concept, turning the helpless subject into a mental contortionist.
As an example, try and follow the lengthy chain of scriptures from all over the Bible, to support their 1914 teaching. I doubt that very many JW’s are able to explain this centerpiece-doctrine without having WT literature directly in front of them. And even then, all they would be able to do is recite verbatim from the printed page.
If you’ve been in the WT-Organization for any length of time, your head must be spinning with confusion once your eyes are opened to the great deception. Most JW’s that remain for any period of time, but have half-a-brain, ignore the glaring errors, immersing themselves in self-delusion, figuring that their “mommy” has super-secret information, because nobody would ever come to the WT-conclusions by just reading the Bible alone!
In my journey out of the WT, I’ve started over again as regards everything I thought I knew about God and the Bible. And it is my belief that you too must purge every vestige of WT indoctrination before remaking yourself. You might want to get some books on deprogramming.
