No, God does not necessarily have or need to have a people to serve him that are organised by and around a central human authority, he surely has a true people but they are scattered and unorganised and often trapped in self serving organisations.

Sorry to hear that, poodles. (Although I'm not sure if you would be happy to have my 'manipulative mom'. It took me years to get out the unhealthy relationship and I still have to reduce contact to not be 'brainwashed' again. She is great in turning things around and in acting like she never said/done anything. She should be on the GB... )
Greendawn, this is what I think sometimes as well. Maybe God is collecting his people himself from all the different religions and 'non-religions'. We will probably find out in the end...
