How many times have we seen that happen? =(

It was very, very late in life I finally gave up the feckless concept of "unconditional love" thanks to Rand's reasoned arguments.

Unconditional love is totally irrational because there is no merit involved.

Justice is getting what you deserve. Getting what you don't deserve (be it good or bad) is injustice. This would include love.

This caused me to re-examine what God's "grace" (UNdeserved kindness or merit) might really mean.

If God declares that humans are weak, sinful, imperfect and deserve death because of that condition AND YET loves them anyway: on what just, fair and moral basis would such love be based??? It would be without foundation! It would be injustice!

    That turned my head around.

God doesn't become "good" by bestowing undeserved favors on the undeserving; God becomes irrational and immoral by doing so.

The very foundation of Christianity is irrational.
