Since your spouse is going to die at Armageddon, can we agree to date?

My sister was always married to a nonbeliever as a Witness, which means that her husband would die at Armageddon and she would need to look into another mate. So when thinking about this, I remember a few in the Kingdom Hall that were attractive males and females, that had spouses that would die at Armageddon for being nonbelievers. So wouldn't it make sense, since we did believe this, to court these ones and explain that after their spouse gets the holy crap beat out of them for their lack of faith, that we would like to be first in line for some possible dating in the new system. After all, you know their going to be single!

Just another warped way of seeing "the truth about the truth!"

You bring back a memory I wish I had forgot. When I was first studying I remember the brother talking about such a thing. He started talking about how way back when a certain sister at the hall used to be a "fox" (his words not mine) and how after Armageddeon she would be available *wink wink*. I can't believe I didnt' see the signs eairler about these people, I was so "amazed by the "bible knowledge".

I remember when I was a at the end of my teen years, I told my father that the hall did not have any females my age (1974 then) and he said there were plenty of older single sisters (much older 50's -60's) but that their youth will come back after armaegeddon.

those would be the sisters with AAA on their name badges at the District Convention (Availible After Armageddon)

I think about that mentality a lot - My wife goes to the hall by herself and she is very attractive. There are tons of single guys her age at her congregation. I know she has no interest, but it drives me nuts knowing that people at the hall probably view her as almost single.

There was a young MS in our old congo, in his early 30s, handsome fellow His wife left him, for another women, and dubs in our hall weren't sure which was more shocking, that she left or that she left for a Lesbian relationship.

Anyway, about a year goes by and a new sister moves into the hall. She is in her late 20s, drop dead gorgeous, husband is a non-believer who never came to the hall.

Six months later, they are both df'd for... well, you can guess.

If I had an attractive wife going to the KH without me, where she was likely to meet attractive, single men who viewed her as "almost single," I'd put my foot down.

    But that's me.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions, Willyloman!!!! j/k

It does eat at me, though. I already know that some of the guys are overly friendly with her, even the elder who keeps trying to call me always gives her puppy dog eyes (his wife has severe depression and he is known for having a problem with porn). I don't know what to do about it, though. I guess I could insist that she not go, but I hate to go that route because I feel like I will look the like the dumb stereotype of the opposed unbelieving mate.

    sigh......

These are myths based on myths why are the JWs so sure that they will survive armageddon just because they obey and serve the WTS? It's a criminal org given its actions of breaking up families and shunning former members that left or were expelled for trivial reasons.
