I don't see how emphasizing "love" will work either. You can't muzzle the ox threshing the grain. If the organization is not generous with it's followers, the rank and file will eventually give up.
I dont see a need for them to change this, unlike the generation teaching theres no looming threat to it and anyway its a good hook. I think as long as they are hiding behind 'god' they will always have diehard fans following. no matter how much they stuff up or the blatant proof they are wrong is out there, itll be put down to human error or some other brain blocker by loyals.
After 1995 the idea of a soon to be paradise became untenable, it can come soon or it can come after a very long time. The society without any rational basis continues to argue that it will come soon and this worries some JWs: why not argue that it will be long in coming?
