I agree with the many who replied...You need more info in the attempt to tell all about failed prophecies of the Bible. That requires more research that what you know now. As for Jonah and what you call false prrophecy, since prophecy is God's word why to inply the opposit? By simple research we know, in part, that the people of the great city repented and God was moved for love and mercy God with held his wrath. And if by chance, if you knew the bible well, many generations later the city went back to their evil ways and God did pour his wrath and the city was destroyed anyway. Different generation different people.

As for evolution, you better make a better attempt to study the 2 Law of Thermodynamics. Even Albert Einstein, who was an atheist, and later became a deist, due to his understanding of the universe, realizing the universe had a designer. Apart of the Earth, Einstein saw the universe in perfect harmony

That's a classic example of attempting to force prophecy! That's the "self-fulfillment" part! Nothing "miraclious" about it! What would have been a miracle is if god had kept his promise and they had never LOST the land! Time indefinite my ASS!

I do believe that the promise to keep the land was conditional on the Jews remaining faithful to God, which they did not and of course they were expelled twice.

    Joshua 1:7-8

6 "Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

7 "Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.

8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

    Joshua 24:20-28

20 "If you forsake the LORD and serve foreign gods, then He will turn and do you harm and consume you after He has done good to you."

21 The people said to Joshua, "No, but we will serve the LORD."

22 Joshua said to the people, "You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen for yourselves the LORD, to serve Him." And they said, "We are witnesses."

23 "Now therefore, put away the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel."

24 The people said to Joshua, "We will serve the LORD our God and we will obey His voice."

25 So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.

26 And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God; and he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.

27 Joshua said to all the people, "Behold, this stone shall be for a witness against us, for it has heard all the words of the LORD which He spoke to us; thus it shall be for a witness against you, so that you do not deny your God."

28 Then Joshua dismissed the people, each to his inheritance.
