Peter: You nailed this interview and spoke for so many of us. Your reasonable, measured approach provides a lesson for all. Thanks for stepping up, not only w the Quotes website but in the aftermath.
I listened to this, and I'm curious, I seem to be finding that several people that were born and raised as a JW who has either been DF'd or DA'd theirself, have become agnostic. Which to me, is much different then being just an apostate. I was only in the truth for a little less than ten years. I definitely do not consider it the truth, but I absolutely believe in God and Jesus.
Is there anyone here who absolutely doesn't believe anymore? and what brought you to that level?

I wasn't raised in the truth, like you I was only in it for 9-10 years. I don't believe in the bible any more because when I left I not only researched the JW duds but also the bible!
Just start reading threads on it here...right now even look at Skymans thread about women...and that is just one thread.

One thing is for sure: I've got to drink less COFFEE next time. Man, I was going a mile-a-minute! :)
But I had a lot of ground to cover in a short period of time, and I was trying to "get it all in".
I hope Drew has me back on the show. It would be interesting to talk about some broader issues, like typical characteristics of High Control Groups, in a general way.
