Really, this corporate mentality is what irks me about jws. As you say, no emotional intelligence. Basing a religious faith on a business model is only going to get ambitious and grasping people rising to the top.

It's not a business model of any kind. WTS is leaking blood and the only reason their total numbers have more or less stabilized is that they are focusing on 3rd world and emerging nations to pump up the ranks. Bethel is more like one of those hippie comunes from the 70's, or maybe a former USSR factory/living arrangement than a "business." For one thing in a business, the Employees are paid, and the best ones are advanced.
The party is about over for them in developed lands largely because of the stupid, hypocritical actions of the GB.
Trust me, any Attorney employed by the Corporation is utterly toothless. They know that in order to get anything done right they need to go the secular route.
