    WHY I LEFT JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES

    CAROL M

    South Africa
    My husband and I started studying the Bible with Jehovah's witnesses
    towards the end of 2002.
    Right through my study I had questions relating to Isaiah 43:10;
    Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:1-21; I Corinthians 12 and 1 Corinthians 14;
    James 5:14,15 that were never appropriately answered.
    Irrespective, after three years, towards the end of 2005, I developed
    the earnest desire to become a publisher. The elders came to ask me
    the questions regarding the requirements for becoming a Jehovah's
    witness. But when I posed the question to them that "What would
    happen to me if I do not accept 'the faithful and discreet slave' as
    Jehovah God's channel?", I was not allowed to become a publisher.
    With the knowledge comes responsibility (I Corinthians 9:16), so I
    decided to stop associating with Jehovah's witnesses (II Timothy 3:5;
    Revelation 18:4) and submit to the leadership of Christ (Matthew 23:10)
    by means of Jehovah's Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14-17; Ephesians 4:30).
    I follow Jesus' example according to I Peter 2:21-24. He already told
    us how to behave as His followers when He walked the earth. Jehovah
    has given us Holy Spirit in Jesus' Name to teach us (John 14:26). We do
    not need someone to interpret the Word of God for us. We require
    people to guide us on this road of everlasting life.
    I am convinced that Jehovah's witnesses are part of Babylon the
    Great, because they are always plagued by illness, bad health and
    burdens, due to a lack of faith (Hebrews 11:6). Even though JEHOVAH
    says that He has not changed (Isaiah 43:10; Malachi 3;6), they claim
    that He does not operate the same anymore "in our time".
    He has already given us His Best, His Only, His Son Jesus Christ in
    order for us to live our lives victoriously (II Corinthians 5:17), but the
    witnesses are waiting on "the new order". They do not exercise faith
    in Jehovah God's Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11), but in the guidance of the
    interpretation of the Bible through the "faithful and discreet slave".
    It can only be the enemy, Satan the Devil, who can blind people's
    mind like that so that they cannot see JEHOVAH GOD'S glorious
    light (II Corinthians 4:4).
    I am grateful and thankful to Jehovah God for leading me, by means of
    His Holy Spirit, to Jehovah's witnesses, with them and delivering me
    with His Mighty Hand and Power, out of them!!! In the church where
    I was before, we did not receive teachings as we did with the
    witnesses, e.g. death, earthly paradise, Jehovah God's Kingdom to
    come, the memorial of Jesus, celebration of birthdays, the Christmas
    tree, the trinity. I also did not know the true God, JEHOVAH,
    as I do now (John 17:3) !!!
    My only desire is to, all the days of my life, do My Father in heaven,
    JEHOVAH GOD'S will (John 4:34; Mathew 7:21; Romans 12:2;
    Hebrews 10:36; I John 2:17.)
    He is the Sovereign of the universe, He is the Almighty (Psalm 83:18),
    He has beautiful qualities (Psalm 103:8), He is unselfish (Genesis 1:26),
    He is my Provider (Genesis 22:14), He gives me peace (Judges 6:23, 24)
    and He is a happy God (Proverbs 2:1-6) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Welcome to the forum Carolina, you are right the JWs are also part of Babylon and not of Jerusalem as they like to claim and we don't need any books to guide us into the truth because the Paraclete does that.

    Welcome Carolina, glad you're out!

    Imo the best thing you have learnt with JWs is that you can be misled.

    In time you will perhaps question a few other things you have "learnt" (either from JWs or elsewhere). This forum is a nice place to do so.
