  Some may recall when the Society was buying property in Brooklyn during the late 60s to the 80s that the City became very concerned that they were losing tax revenue by the changing tax status of the properties.

  Wealthy brothers were recruited to purchase the property and do a leaseback to the Society. Brooklyn got their taxes and the Society through this entity got to run their buildings.

  Do any remenber the details. By the mid 80's and after attending my 2nd Elders school I was looking for the exit doors.

  I wonder now that the Scibb building and others are being sold what has become of these Corporations, did they get the money or did they donate the property to the Society and thus get very nice tax deductions due to the appreciated value of the real estate (Otherwise known as double dipping).
