Hope you get this resolved Sirona;
Ask for a meeting with the consultant who performed the operation and make sure that someone other than you and your better half is there to witness it.
Doesnt sound great though from what you have said; hope he gets better soon.

I'd call an attorney STAT, Sirona. And call the hospital admin. and take him to the ER. He needs to be taken care of. This is not something they can waffle about.

wow... this is awful. Why in the world would they tell you that an infection was, "bound to happen?" Are they that bad that they'd assume the procedure was going to result in an infection?
I agree with Frannie... Talk to an administrator and find out what in the world is going on.

AND....take a tape recorder (voice activated that'll loop and record for a long time so you don't hafta be caught taping what they say to you)

Thanks everyone, Just an update..... He was seen and given some extra antibiotics which have eventually worked, meaning he doesn't have to go into hospital. Phew! The healing is slow, but we're hoping that he is on the best side of it now. Thanks all Sirona

Sirona, I'm lighting a candle for your hubby, sending healing energy your way.
Sorry he's had such a tough time of it, you must have been worried sick.
Blessed be,

Post-operative infections are common, especially with invasive surgery. I'm glad the antibiotics are finally clearing it up.
