Funny. On occasion I will mention to my JW parents some information regarding one version of the story of the origins of the standard deck of playing cards... the tarot deck! They just shrug and go about their lives. But celebrate a birthday!? Egads!!
Just wait. If the Watchtower or Awake! ever comes out saying playing cards have pagan origins, people will either be throwing them all out and disfellowshipping people for using them, or hiding them deep into their sock drawer.
