It was so nice to see everybody!

Thank you for driving Chrissy!! You're a dear.

Breck kindly let us crash at his house while the cars at the hostel where we would have been were getting their windows broken so we were rather happy to avoid that. (Btw, his gf is beautiful - we just saw photos but they were great - and his dog was so sweet!)

Odrade and John, so good to see you! And Thanksgiving's a go...

Brenda, glad we finally met, pls know you're in my thoughts. Brenda's friend-significant other-spousal unit - it was great to meet you. :-)

Swan, keep taking care of yourself and your guy!

K and Chris - You two are so freaking awesome, kick-ass tattoos and a fellow psych person - life is good!

Cookie boy - you'll never live that comment down, not a chance in he**. But I suppose there's more to you than that, although sometimes it's not that easy to see!!

Sphere - You're such a beautiful woman, in every way. Caramel - Sorry we didn't get to chat much, but enjoy Astoria for me - wish I was there!

And whoever I'm forgetting right now, it's 1 a.m. so just yell at me later. Thank you everybody for being so wonderful! Love ya!

It was great fun, I had a very blonde moment finding the place so I didn't get to hang out with everyone as long but the group in the Portland area rocks!

Breck you were a great host!

Cady I enjoyed seeing you again even if you did leave me out of your list!

Sphere thanks for not posting the unflattering pics, I just don't take good pictures!

Odrade always good to see you again, thanks for the "hit".

Brenda sorry I didn't get to say goodby, perhaps we can meet up another time.

BigWilly and Wife, great to meet you both.

Swan, now that I have met you I won't forget you again!

Chrissy good luck with the move, hope you find a great place.

Everyone else, big hugs, it was great seeing you all.

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Is it weird that in all the photos that get posted to JWD of get-togethers, everyone just looks... familiar?

Yeah, Daystar, I know what you mean. I couldda swore I met buster before (it THAT cookie boy? I wasn't on the ghost tour nor did I get to talk with him much). Alsol, Tim, Gretchen's brother looks so familiar!

Oh wll. must be "past life" stuff.

Our room was one of the "least" active rooms in the place, and we had odd occurances. Like the bed spread ruffling at the floor like by a gust of wind, or a cat,... or some other movement... and no vents under the bed! This happened several times with no one on or near the bed and we hadn't opened the window yet.

I went to bed before Kev and on 2 occasions I felt someone crawl onto the bed very carefully. I looked, and Kev was still by the lamp reading. There was activity in the overhead attic on occasion, especially around 1 am. And there was activity in the little closet room under the eaves with the locked door! At least I knew the place was haunted. It didn't "bother" me. I just did what I could to make sure there was no physically explainable reason for the noise and movement. Other than being bugged, I actually have no problem with ghosts that behave themselves!

It was even more interesting being in a Euro room with bath deown the hall and having to go down the hall at 2 am and seeing the shadows move!

    Awww ghosties.

Seeing as Edgefield was the county poor farm, and then an old folks home, it's no wonder it is haunted! The McMennamins empire has done wonderful things with the place and have tried very hard to overlay possitive energy over the negative, as they have done with all of their haunted locations... even their stip-mall pubs are great places to hang out!

I am so glad everyone had a good time. I had a blast! Kevan even had fun, and he tends to be anti-social.

    Hugs y'all until next time!

I'm very proud. I didn't notice one single "Bud," "Miller," or "Coors" floating around on any of the tables. It appears that the Holy Spirit() guided you on the correct choices of beverage.

(well what do you expect? the 'fest was in Portland...)

    Good times, good times

    We were in 304.

There was healthy activity in the room next door. Their mattress springs squeeked loudly and regularly night and morning, and we heard much moaning and groaning and on occasional reference to some diety or another. The wall was even knocking and pounding! However, I don't think it had anything to do with anything other than high spirits, alcoholic spirits, and post wedding excitement from a couple of wedding goers.

    Good observation, Jourles!

When we met Breck in Jerry's Ice House (Deadicated to Jerry Garcia) while he was still "on duty", one couple came in and ordered Coors lite. Sad. Really really sad.

    ::: "Bud," "Miller," or "Coors"

Bite your tongue! Them's dirty words in these parts!
