The two terms aren't quite analogous

Semites are an ethnic group that actually includes Arabs (Even though the term, "Anti-Semitic" is generally used in the narrower sense of, "Anti-Jewish")

Islam is a religion with members from many ethnic groups. (Including Arabs)

Expressing an anti-ethnicity / anti-race viewpoint is certainly frowned upon in most developed countries. This is a direct attack on the person themself; a violition of the premise that, "All men are created equal."

Expressing an anti-religious viewpoint, especially in the context of ideological disagreement, is at most, an attack on what a person believes and does. We do this on JWD all the time. (This is not to say that an anti-religious viewpoint in a discriminatory context is acceptable)
