Mysterious - Being Friendly is always good advice! No they didn't text to Miss Peaches either... That was just my edit... They definately don't know each other. One is from another country completely. I met them when I was living interstate. The other was in my local congregation but moved interstate in the last couple of years. No online journals either... Seems like one of those freaky co-incidences

Carla - Definately something to ponder over. I worry about letting JW's I know how I feel because I don't want to get disphellowshipped as I have family who are still witnesses. Yet deep down inside I know that one day this will be inevitable... I'd love to let them know the real 'truth' though

Okay now first up... No I didn't ever believe that the angels were banging on their drums and making thunder... I was just spinning a tale... So all you science folk (Like Tetra) I won't be needing a science lesson!!

Hmmm... I guess it might reply. I am thinking that they must have heard that I have stopped attending meetings... Maybe they just want to keep in contact because they don't believe in conditional relationships? Maybe I am putting a positive slant on their response????

Not to sound too cold, but has there been an "encourage someone inactive" part lately on the Service Meeting schedule or recent Wt? I have gotten a few calls lately and thought it was odd. Now that this happened to you, it is even more odd.

um, missy, you know i love you, but thunder does not come from angels banging drums. not only is there no evidence for angels, it is also a scientific fact that thunder is the sound of the shockwave caused when lightning instantly heats the air around it to up to 30 000 °C (54 000 °F). That super-heated air expands rapidly, then contracts as it cools. The rapid expansion/contraction generates sound waves, making the sound that is called "thunder." -- and lightning, well, we all know, comes from Zeus.

don't panic. i don't think you are obliged to tell them up front either. let it come up naturally. at least then they will have had some conversation with you, and will be able to see that they are talking with their good ol' misspeaches, and not some crazy apostate.

No... it seems that my earlier supposition that perhaps they knew that I had stopped attending meetings but didn't care was just a positive slant.

This just breaks my heart.... I have to let them know where I stand....

But if they love you that much, maybe they won't play the shun game. Maybe your appeal to love and commom sense could help them see a brighter way. Maybe their love for you will help them see that it's better to be an imperfect, but happy normal person than a wt sheep.

Hey Dark Knight interesting thought... It's just sooo much easier said than done... And I'm such a ditz as it is... trying to remember dates & details... the only thing I'm good at is giving directions! as you know!!

Now What... There was a lot of love in that friendship. I really did feel that it was genuine too. I guess I just gotta hope that the outcome will be positive. I'll just be myself and let them decide what course of action they want to take...
