OT and the name "Jehovah"? Ignoring the fact that there was no "j" in Hebrew, the Jewish people themselves gave up open
use of the name, as shown by Josephus and the Dead Sea Scrolls. If you read books like Esther, Daniel, Ezra, and Nehemiah carefully
you can see how they gradually stopped using the name, especially around Gentiles.
In the Christian Greek Scriptures, a brief reading will show you that early Christians had no particular interest in using "Yahweh"
or "Jehovah" as they preferred addressing God as "Father" . While dying on the cross/stake, Jesus repeatedly called God
Father - and even skipped an opportunity to have the name "Yahweh" permanently stuck into the Greek gospels by transliteration
-"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?".
Why would Jesus prefer "Father"? Because he wanted to start a universal faith in which everyone looked to God as
their loving Father, -- not a "Yahweh" cult, as the Watchtower strives to be today.
