!! I have to be vague with this I'm sorry, but I'm so excited I had to come on JWD and let you guys know!

SO there's an active witness who I had expressed some doubts to a little while ago.. I didn't seem to get a lot of response, and I wondered how it had gone down...

BUT I just had a conversation again with the person, and this time I felt confident enough of their attitude to go a little further and express some really specific issues, and to outline my anger at the fact that I have been unable to express my true feelings for fear of reprisal.

To my surprise, the response this time was quite distinctly anti-witness. This person even quoted a few of the points I had made the first time, and they expressed to me that they definitely disagree with the blood policy, and that they resented that as an adult, they had to basically ignore their own heart and instead follow the rules and regulations put upon them by the society!

My impression overall is that this person is headed OUT !!!!

Absolutely great news!

I too have a couple dubs on the back burners; a little info here, a little info there...they are giving a good listen and although the same time-worn arguments about the light getting brighter come out, I think even they are getting tired of hauling out the same old line, time after time.

Like Bring the Light says, I think the best place for 'apostates' is right in the congregations! Good work and always good to hear success stories like these. We should perhaps soon start our own 'experiences in the field' encouragement threads!

Very exciting. Such a relief as well when you can be so honest with someone - it's very rare to be able to speak truth to a dub. Way to go girlfriend!!

Hey Junkie-No-More, thanks, it IS great news. I'm surprised at how pleased I am actually - I thought I'd feel more guilty about this, but the lack of guilt is just confirming my beliefs further.

Isn't the "light getting brighter" argument annoying?? It does my head in. Every religion is evolving in it's own way - and to use that as an excuse for false prophecy and policies that killed people is such a joke.

I'm still IN for now, although it won't be that way forever.. but while I'm here I'm going to do the best I can to help anyone I can with the truth. :-)

And in a recent update it seems this dub isn't wasting any time in getting into the real life.. Let's just say putting their money where their mouth is and embracing some newfound freedom. I'm being cryptic I know.. wish I could tell the story but it's not mine to tell. :-)
