Watchtower are members of a "Blood Group"? We need to investigate!

Hi All,

I just heard some information from a Circuit Overseer here in the UK. Basically, in a discussion about the UN involvement he used the argument "Well just because we're part of the {non-jw blood group} that doesn't mean we support blood transfusions and it's just the same with the UN thing"

Now I've inserted "non JW blood group" because the person who told me can't remember which organisation he said they were members of....but it sounds very like they are members of some "worldly" organisation regarding blood transfusions. How can we find out? This could be another UN type situation!

Perhaps the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management? Ummm, not a direct analogy to the UN. I mean, the UN has been vilified in print as the harlot.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is an affiliate of the UN. Perhaps they were involved on some blood and health committee with the WHO?

he said to a friend of mine (who cant remember properly either) that it doesnt matter about the un because it doesnt mean anything because the society are listed with the blood orginazation does that make it any clearer what does that mean??

Maybe they have had some dealings with the International Red Cross? Thats the only international blood org. I can think of.

They are supposed to be NO PART OF THE WORLD OR ANY OF ITS ORGANIZATIONS

good piont i dont think they quite GET THAT!!

i managed to show my dad the society on the un and website and he said 'well dicuss it when you are reinstated!' whats that all about.

i thought the jw answer for the un was the llibary thing, but the co definately said it didnt matter coz of this (mystrieous blood organization)

co's wont investigate the u.n thing

they will just spin the gb yarn that they are told

i know cos i asked one

lets face it...to find out it is true means they would have to give up being co's

dont know nothing about the blood thing tho

Are you talking about www.ajwrb.org? We have JWs and non-JWs alike as members. Obviously the JWs in it remain anonymous to avoid DFing. I wasn't sure of the context of your conversation and if you were referring to the org as a whole belonging or just an individual.
