I got the news yesterday that a dear old friend and a "faithful" Witness for over 65 years!!! is on her deathbed.
After all those damn years of waiting for the "New System" and these poor simple people die in a hospital like everyone else.
Rutherfords lie was only 2 words wrong - It should have been "Millions now dying will never live."
Sad, sad, sad.

A very old witness friend died a couple of years ago. He was a former elder and about 80 years old. Once in his wood shop he really blasted the society for the "mistakes" they've made about the end of this system. He was so angry how he had lived his life.

I hate seeing that. I know of a few old timers that died since I left and I can remember them talking about how they wanted to make it to the "new system" and all that stuff. My grandmother died in 1983 and basically only regretted that she wouldn't see it first hand. I think she got a surprise when she passed but that's just my opinion

I remember hearing those words and thinking he had it backwards but he was from a different age......now I know what he meant.
Well, let's just say that I'm living my life right now and really enjoying it!
