I checked yes, even when active.. and loudly proclaimed it. It's a concience matter, so I'm told. And wouldn't it be a great witness to know that it was a JW's liver (clean and intact) that saved another's life?

I guess not. A lot claimed it was cannibalism. They also found my rock music from my car offensive.

LMAO@valis-- I can see you being the only guy on the planet they might think wouldn't have salvagable parts . There is never any guarantee that all donors and recipients will be compatible and the likelihood of parts being rejected by the recipient is always something that makes the whole concept seem pointless to me. I mean jeeze they turned around and sold someone like larry hagman a liver knowing he destroyed his own health anyway . I think I'm going to have ,keep your friggen hands off my inards, tattooed on my chest somewhere.

    Xenawarrior,

I suppose I'm a little late, but I think I have a very special point of view. Last July I gave my left kidney to a young man from Russia. The doctors told me I was a "Good Sameritan" donor. Wish I had another one to give. I plan on giving bone marrow in about a year and a half.

My daughter unfortunately is still in, she doesn't like to talk about what I did. I don't know if it's her age (18) or her brainwashing?

I was foretunate that Oleg was a good kid of 21. He's back home now and doing great other than feeling like he's in a dead-end country.

I left twice... you know that guilt, the second time was years ago. I never searched much for ex-witness info. As of late I have been absolutely floored with the UN news, this generation manuver, hypophyliacs (sp) can have blood but no to others (is that correct?).

Anyway, I believe 56,000 people a year die waiting for only a kidney!
