He was one of the chiefs at the Australian bethel during the late 70's early 80's. I used to enjoy his talks at assemblies - he had something special about him. He was DFd (supposedly for apostasy). Might have been around the same time as the Brooklyn shake out.

Maybe refiners, ozzie, or unclebruce, might recall him.

cheeses - in one of his wondering moods.

Not true. He was DF for something else.

As for the rest I'll 'keep my own counsel'. We enjoyed his talks and his company also.

    Cheers, Ozzie

    Ozzie,

No devious intent with my enquiry, but I was just reading the thread about the upcoming convention programme and D. Madzay was the only person from Bethel who I could remember giving talks at the assemblies.

As I stated - it was only supposition re. the circumstances of his removal.

I recall he was American or Canadian - did he return there, or stay on in Australia? Not that he would ever remember me, but if you know of him, give him my regards.

Yes, he was Canadian and I agree his talks were par excellence. Sorry to relate but he died somewhat tragically many years ago.

I remember him well - They used to run "Color Graphics" - The theocratic Bookmarks, greeting cards, coloring books etc. I remember going there to pick up an order just after he was dfed. I always wanted to know what happend.

I remember the name. He probably gave a talk or two at the district convention I attended at Coff's Harbour in 1970 or 1971.

I believe his wife is still alive, and an active JW, somewhere in NSW (Wellington or Dubbo, something like that ??). She may be re-married (not sure about that though...)
