Here are scans of the "Advance Medical Directive" (blood card) for 2001 and 2002. Also shown is the "Identity Card" for minors for 2002.
Note that the Watchtower Society cancelled distribution of the 2002 cards, and instructed that JWs use the 2001 card until further notice.

On the children's ID card, I have to wonder why they added the bit about HIV and hepatitis. This isn't even mentioned in the bible. I am sure it probably has always been there. But IMO they are attempting to justify, their "strong religious convictions."

So does this mean that they can now take their own blood? Am I wrong in thinking that allogenic means from an outside source other than themselves?
"Allogeneic" means genetically different but from the same species. It is generally considered to be the opposite of "autologous," from the same individual, in the blood context. But there are shades of meaning. An identical twin's blood is not allogeneic, because it is genetically the same. Cow's blood is not allogeneic, because it is not from the same species. So had these cards been distributed, rather than disposed as they apparently were, it would open a world of questions about inconsistencies about the Watchtower blood policy. Cause that never happens.

The first argument I had with my then-boyfriend was regarding the Advance Directives for minors.
He is 'worldly' I was an inactive JW.
He went nuts when he found the card and said he would not be marrying me if I was willing to let my kid die over, and I quote, "some stupid fucking religious cult." And that he would never have kids with me for that exact reason.
It was a very bad fight. Very ugly. He was right, of course, but it took time to realize that.

It means they fear a wrongful death class action lawsuit but even more fear the wrath of ultra-conservatives. Also Henschel's appointees and he hold power for he has always been deadset even against the now established usage of liver and other such transplants. They got to believing the lie of their own misinterpretation by Rutherford in 1945 and are now trapped in it. If AJWRB were not the sham that it now is it would get up a class action suit.
