Thank you all for the answer. My stepgrandpa will be attending the memorial with my inactive jw grandma in Ky once again this year. The reason I needed to know is that is also the week of my vacation and Im planning on going to Ohio, then take a weekend trip to Ky with Darin. I will be in Dayton Ohio on Memorial night, and I dont know what I have planned yet, but I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.

If I were you, I would attend the memorial...and when the wine got passed, I'd stand up so everyone could see, take a long big sip, clutch my heart, stumble a few paces and drop to the floor like I was dead. Then I'd have your brother shout from the back "Oh my God, they've poisened him, they've killed my brother." Then have your brother drag you by the feet down the middle of the aisle as you shake and your eyes roll around in your head, shouting "You're going to pay for this."

    Have fun whatever you do!

Thanks who are you, My only reservation about drinking the wine at the memorial is that Im a Christian, and I take serious about drinking communion. If I were to go and do that out of spite or for the comedic effect, then I feel that would be wrong, almost blasphemous, however everything else is fair game in my book.

("Erev Pesach" = "Day before Passover" in Hebrew)April 2, 2007 (Monday)14 Nissan 5767- Stop eating chametz before about 4 hours after sunrise
    - Burning of Leaven ("Biur Chametz" in Hebrew; "Biur" literally means "destruction" in Hebrew; especially, "destruction by fire"): Burn chametz before about 5 hours after sunrise
    - Passover begins just after sundown with 1st Seder (15 Nissan starts after sundown)

Taken from a Jewish website. April 2 is Nisan 14, but when the sun goes down the date (the time of the memorial this year) the Jewish date will actuallyi be Nisan 15. And Nisan 15 is a Sabbath for the next 24 hours. The Passover meal is always a Sabbath as it starts Passover week.

Interesting that this year the dubs observe the date a month before Passover along with the rest of Christendom.

That is interesting Freydi, Some holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving are set in stone, but Easter seems to jump around alot. Who chooses when Easter is to be observed? Who makes that decision on the calendar?
