    In three weeks time Englishman's BBQ will be over, but I've started a tradition of taking some of the visiting Americans back home with me

    Joyzabel and HicFlyGirl will be in the Central Belt on Tuesday night, before we head up into the Highlands and Islands.

    I know it's short notice, and a bit of an awkward time of week, but anyone fancy meeting up on the Tuesday evening, perhaps at a pub? I'm inclined towards Edinburgh, myself, but open to suggestion. Depending on who responds, Glasgow might be more central.

    Given that I wont be able to make Englishmans BBQ I might well take you up on that offer...it is however a little close to my stag party in Edinburgh on the 16th but will see how the land lies.

    It's always been my dream to visit Scotland....

    Yes LT, it is short notice.... I will have left the UK by the 12th.... Had I known earlier, I may have planned my trip differently...

    Oh well.... Some day I will visit Scotland

    I'll be there too, and got to work at 7 am the next morning. Ross, if you fancy holding it in Newcastle/Durham instead of the other side of the border I've got space for the three of you to stay over. Paul

    Unfortunately that wouldnt fit with the plans as we have castles to see and then a boat to catch

    LT, I haven't been to Scotland for a while and would have loved to do that, but I can't get time off at such short notice. Maybe next year, or a late Summer Mega Scot Fest?

    depends on whether i stay on in england after bbq or if ive managed to get cheap flight to usa
