my dad just started some crap by having the damn local elders call on me and call me. so he has brought things to a point where i cant avoid the damn shockwave. he screwed up a perfectly good attempt to fade away so now i need the facts to show him cause a confrontation is now inevitable. what i want is straight forward logical facts primarily that i can lay out and tell him to go look up himself and see the society lies. if they put the shun on me its there loss but i need to have my stuff together so i can lay it out logically. i just wanna be able to prove there liars and as thus cannot be gods single source of spiritual food or whatever. the simpler the better cause i aint gonna argue with him tho i am considering giving him a good butt chewing for being so stupid as to do what he did and force the issue. only thing i gotta go easy on him about is he is doing this missguided thing outta love and maybe if i can put it out there logically enough i can get him to see the truth (yeah right huh) and that it aint a part of the wtbs. so anything you can hook me up with ill appreciate

You will find strictly audio, video, and official scans of WT documentation there. No commentary. The Body of Elder's letters are always worth a look through. It may help you to see how the elders will approach you.

sad to say facts usually don't mean alot to a jw who is at the stage your dad is atin my veiw you are wasting your time- throwing alot of xeroxed copies of errors in dogma in my opinion will do you little if any good AT THIS POINT
you may want to consider a different approach- you basically have two choices
one come out with guns blasting and they can DF you then and there or BUY yourself some time by playing dumb, had some questions, i must be weak, got to sort some things out, etc-
it all depends on what you want to do NOW-
you still can fade, the key is KEEPING YOUR MOUTH SHUT- IF you have no problem blasting with both barrels THEN GO FOR IT
but just make sure you are prepared mentally for the backlash- since most folks in my exp are typically not, the fade method is often times the best
it give you time to mentally prepare yourself and then - YOU WILL NOT CARE WHAT THE CHEESE AND CRACKER MEN DO
the reason is he is not LOOKING in fact he is actually quite happy

They will just say it was clarified or adjusted, that the FDS is not infallible, that even the apostles made mistakes and did not understand everything at once.

Like JT states, someone at your fathers current point of view will not accept any one or two reference look up as proof. He is an elder. He has seen first hand more about the deceptions and the twisting of the truth.
His responses will be:
The light is always getting brighter
We need to wait on Jehovah to correct the problems
Where else can we go for Salvation
Who taught you the finer things about Jesus and Jehovah
It is better to continue with your fade.
Tell the new elders that things are bad at work. Or, You are going through some difficult times.
Whatever to get them to understand that while you will not come back now you may in the future.
If you want to be a real smart arse. Ask him when the letters and instructions he gets from the CO and the Service Department disagree with what he reads in the Watchtower, which should he follow with his heart.

I would not recommend simply printing this stuff off. All he has to see is that it is from the evil internet, and the brain turns off. Simply write down some references and have him look them up himself in the originals in his own KH library (or CD).

You can not prove to closed minds the facts you are presenting. They don't see it unless they are willing to communicate with you.
If at this time you are looking for facts it is not a good time to come to terms with dear old dad.
You need to study what you are going to use as a defense to their wonderful offense.
I can give you facts and examples but what good are they coming from me? This is in my reality.
My mom still can't understand why they allowed pedophiles in their presence but she will explain it away as on waiting on Jehovah, just like another poster stated.
How do they get their so called "New light". Do they use channeling to get the information from the other side? How does this work, just a simple question. Some man sits in a room and all of a sudden the light bulb goes off and now oral and anal sex are wrong but child molesting is ok? What gives here. How come Jesus meditated but it is wrong for us to do in our day.
You see, there are loads of questions but until you feel comfortable in your life and what you are able to handle in your reality and stand up for what you believe, you can't do that until you believe in and make it your own.
So bide your time and figure out what you believe. Then go for it. Have the scriptures to back it up. After all this is your father you are talking to, he is not just anyone. He cares about you and only is doing this because he actually does love you. He thinks he is right and you are wrong. Get your father to start thinking.
