My Yoke Is Kindly

Since Jesus spoke about the "doing of good" towards (our) fellow man, it seems only reasnable that these HUMANE good works would be pleasing AS what might be termed as "Christian-related" actions. They would most certainly "build up" one another and promote the faith of Christianity. It's basically simple. You see a "need" and fulfill it...if and when you are able.

ALL these trappings of endless everchanging doctrines and having to "study" neverending streams of books and literature which becomes totally obsolete at the whim of an FDS pen, and more endless meetings rehashing the same teachings of a particular belief "du jour"---are ALL so meaningless in the bigger picture of things.

The JW's hectic treadmill existance is SUCH an incredible waste---a waste of energy, a waste of resources and a waste of time---which COULD be focused on TRUE love of "neighbor" to CARE for one another, as Jesus himself instructed.

Jesus did say...to feed the hungry, care for the sick, and give to those in need, because these "needy ones" would always be among you......."your neighbors" wherever you may live----are the very ones he asked us to recognize, and offer a hand of kindness. WHERE do Jehovah's Witnesses stand on this command? Volunteering at shelters, soup kitchens and warm clothing distributions for the needy during harsh winter months?

No, their admitted major focus in dealing with the public within their communities.....is to place the Watchtower Society's LITERATURE with them---and never feel a pang of guilt about this at all. I have YET to see a hungry child THRILLED at receiving a Watchtower magazine instead of a warm meal, have you?

And....I wonder....WHY does the Watchtower go to such overly "grand" reasonings on such simple requests of the Master to care for others in need?? These extremes of all the stupid and unnecessary predictions of dates that only Jesus knows (of ONE date), as to WHEN this human suffering will end---and all the ridiculous statements about when Jesus re-appeared as invisible that cannot be proven and THAT whole confusing mess of twisted scriptures. These unfulfilled doctrines and foolish predictions have absolutely NO bearing on what the WTS could be DOING TODAY to benefit mankind in a positive AND beneficial way!

These goofy and foolish old doctrines and not-so-old predictions have ALL fallen apart at the seams and have had to be revised repeatedly, with more to come apparently! WHY BOTHER..to make everything SO complicated?? I ask you---What REAL good does this DO??

Jesus's simple message of love, was a contrast to the Pharasaical endless rules imposed on folks in his day.....and YET----the Watchtower has stepped in and taken over the lists of endless unnecessary rules for THIS time period, hands down! WHY??? For anyone who hasn't seen this yet..see: http://www.JWFiles.com for a list of all the "don't do's" applied to Jehovah's Witnesses. The Pharisees had it easy, compared to JWs! It's mindboggling!

The WTS has always pridefully boasted that it "doesn't water down" the "truth"...but----it has gone so far over the edge to "prove" that it supposedly doesn't, that it has now become an endless tangle of lies, deceit, revisions and mistakes upon mistakes--ALL, of course, taught as TRUTH at one time or another!

Q~Does "God" change the "truth" of the Bible every few years?

A~No, but the Watchtower Society does.

Q~Whatever happened to the thought at Matt 11:30, "My yoke is kindly and my load is light"?

A~The Watchtower Society decided that God spoke to them and changed that too.

The society tend to focus upon dragging around your torture stake more than a kindly yoke provided through a Christian outlook & lifestyle.

Would it be love ? Or a different effort/offering to appease the beast.

The poor are blessed broken and handed out to us - angels sort out the sheep from the goats when inviting us to the feast - where we are invited to celebrate.

    But is it love ?

But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment; and he said to him, `Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?' And he was speechless.

I do believe though that engaging in charity is a good experience - the man was still invited. If someone has actually come tasted the feast they might change their mind.

When I'd hear Matthew 11:30 read at meetings, I'd often wonder why the load that we were bearing as jws seemed anything but light. I wondered much the same thing when I would hear 1 John 5:3 read. If the commands of God were not "burdensome", I wondered, why do I feel so burdened? And yes, the wts often drew a direct line between those commands of God and the routine of jws, including attendance at all meetings.

I often had my head sent spinning in circles trying to figure out how the WTBTS' load was kindly and light. I'd shake my head and say to myself: "This load is NOT light."

Their load was so heavy that it ruined my precious little family. I'm still exhausted to this day. My kids still flounder to this day. My ex? He still hasn't gone back to the meetings. Still believes but can't figure out why he hasn't gone back. I know. He may have been raised in it and still think he believes it but I honestly never saw him read an entire magazine our whole marriage. If it was all so wonderful why did he never want to read about it. Why, now that he knows he is "free" doesn't he go back and get a "Stepford" dub wife?

All of us were like ants trying to carry two ton weights. Gee, I wonder why we didn't hold up.

When Christ saw a need, he dealt with it. And he didn't cater just to his inner circle. When the crowd of 5,000 plus was hungry, he didn't place Watchtowers into their hands. He fed them. (Matt. 14:15-21) The parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10 should clearly show to the Watchtower Society that Jesus not only took care of people's spiritual needs, but physical as well. And he extended his care not only to believers; he had pity on everyone: the outcasts of society, the poor, the marginalized, sinners, and anyone in need.

Obviously something the WTBTS does not practice concerning the world, the weak and often even the faithful. They have set things up to encourage self survival. Self survival like the man in the lifeboat who pushes the other man out so he can have all the food and water for himself. Self survival like the animal who chews off his own leg to get out of a trap.

Trouble is that they, the WTBTS are not animals. They are thinking, reasoning human beings who could figure out a way to get out of the trap without chewing off the leg. They are so worried that someone will bring them down or rub off on them that they refuse to help anyone. They come under the guise of concern for humankind. Afterall, don't they preach everywhere all the time? But that concern ends when the interest of the individual wanes or when one weakens due to illness, depression, dire circumstances, etc.
