ATT: WARNING
by EJ257 inplease be aware of everything that is happening around the world at this moment in time.
this goes to anyone, ex-communicated, removed, serving, believer and non.
at this point in my observations i have realized many religions/ideologies know there is some sort "end of time" or a transition into a new order of living in this earth.

Can u I ask u a question? And please be honest....do u think part of the draw is the challenge? The fact that she's not making it easy for u. I am usually drawn to a guy that's a bit withdrawn and makes me work. I may not have acknowledge that before and I'm not proud to admit it. As a woman who has been an active witness, I will say stay far far away and find yourself someone who u are just as much drawn to I'd not more who is still a challenge for u to acquire. Do not date or fall in love with a jw. -

I have been wondering the same thing as I am trying to figure out my belief system. My problem is that now I doubt the Bible. Different cultures have different sacred books so which one had the truth. Maybe they are all just helpful guides that man has twisted and even sacrificed and killed for. Not to mention they were written in such different times by people who believed it was okay to have more than one wife and that it was okay to have slaves and stoned people to death.
So for now I only take the good out of it like imitating good qualities to be a good person and am finally living my life how I want to live it without worrying about all the pressure of living up to other people's norms. We will all die one day and I think if I open my eyes again I will be thankful. I Def do not believe in hell! That's about all I can say.

Document Blood Transfusion Deaths - please help
by Lee Elder inthe vast majority of deaths from the blood policy are undocumented because they are simply not newsworthy.
if you know of a death or serious injury/disability related to the blood policy, please help us document it.
send as many details as you can recall.

I know of a single dad in his thirties. Left behind a ten year old son in Michigan because he was diagnosed with a blood cancer and the only treatment was blood transfusions. He died within months of being diagnosed. His son misses him terribly. Such a tragic loss and so unnecessary. -

A question about fading....
by Tornintwo ini understand that many on this forum are undertaking a slow fade, over months, years even.. can i ask what is the benefit of that instead of a fast fade?.
as i understand it, the elders only have to deal judicially with people who are still active witnesses, known in the community as witnesses, having contact and influence with witnesses etc.
so surely the sooner you stop attending meetings the better.

I have to do a super slow fade. I have my kids who I don't want to confuse too much. I have my mother who is a pioneer locally. I have my sister who is in bethel. I am not ready to lose them. They would Def cut me off if I da'd or was df'd -

One Year Later - A Thank You to Tony Morris.
by cappytan indear anthony morris, iii:.
i wanted to send you a note of "thanks" on this special day.. why is this day special, you may ask?
one year ago today, you, tony, woke me up to the fact that the governing body could not have jehovah's blessing or direction.. last year, on november 8th & 9th, 2014, the united states branch visit was broadcast to over 1,000,000 jehovah's witnesses across the country.. as i sat at the kingdom hall listening to the "historic occasion," i was ignoring certain doubts that had surfaced in the few months prior.

This talk helped cement the doubts that were lurking in the back of my mind. I was dating a brother who was 36 and not a servant. He had been in the past but wasn't anymore. Well my family already had concerns about that and with this talk they went over the edge with pressure for me to break up with him. Do u know how hard it is to date in the org in your thirties wen u have kids?! Well I was madly in love and my families pressure put a huge rift in our relationship and we broke up. This religion is like the pharisees described in the Bible. So many high expectations. It's unfair and unloving and thankfully now I am awake and a better happier person. -

Critique of the lastest New World Translation?
by dontfitin inhi, i'm a long-time lurker who is still in due to family.
i'm hoping someone here can help me.. is there anywhere online that i can find a critique of the new bible revision?
one of the things that really got me was when i researched about the new world translation and found how there was no basis for adding jehovah's name in the new testament, and then other areas where they translated to accommodate their interpretation.
