The mother of all gripes
by kenpodragon ini personally feel that the single biggest problem in modern society, is the lack of taking personal responsibility for our own actions.
i think that as a culture we have allowed people the room to make excuse after excuse, and accept these as something that should be legit.
well w e see kids raised in families that love them, feed them, take care of them to the best of their means.

Sometimes we make it so difficult
by kenpodragon inthis last weekend, my wife wanted to make a storage compartment for the babies room.
she wanted to put something in it that was a odd size, and we figured it would be something we would need to make ourselves.
so we wrote down all the dimensions and went down to the hardware store and decided to buy a table saw, some wood, hinges and paint and headed to the cash register with about three hundred dollars worth of goods, to build a storage box for a object that was worth about fifty dollars.

Is it acceptable to change your beliefs?
by kenpodragon ini have mentioned on this board before, that i think the downfall of organized religion rest in the fact that they are to stubborn to change.
meaning, "what is, will always be.
" as they feel their teachings are based on god and that is all that matters.

Looking at the road ahead
by kenpodragon inthis last summer i was driving with my wife to colorado to visit a national park we always read about.
we had the bright idea of driving in the night, and avoiding traffic.
as we looked at the map to plan our trip, we saw that we would be driving through a lot of territory with little or no towns along the way to stop at.

When will it rain?
by kenpodragon inthis last weekend i was doing some yard work to get the place ready for the winter-time.
all of which left kind of a big mess of dirt on the walk way and the rest of the cement.
i was so tired from working on this all day, the last thing i felt like doing at that moment was having to clean up this dirt all over the place.

The sun also rises
by kenpodragon ini woke up a couple of weeks ago, thinking that my life would be like any other day.
i set up in bed, doing my normal focus into the world of the living and working my way into the normal day's routine.
work was normal, a few things to get done by five and a lot of things to get done by the end of the week.

It takes to much effort to hate
by kenpodragon inin my life i have learned that in order to truly hate someone or even to hate something.
i have to spend so much time carrying around all the files of memories that give me the reason to fill that way.
i have to think about the person, the thing or the place.

Not all goals are just down the road.
by kenpodragon ini was fishing along a mountain stream and working my way up into a canyon of northern california.
the stream was running pretty good, and the plant life was starting to grow over the water in some places.
forming a natural bridge of life from one side to the other.

Lucky Charms, the forbidden fruit.
by kenpodragon inwhen i was a witness i remember one time being in the kingdom hall talking to a group and a little kid walked up with something his "worldly" grandmother gave him.
it was a rabbits foot on a key chain, a very well known symbol or good luck charm.
i remember the woman in the group kind of freaking out, and walking the child back to his parents and demanding that the demonized object be taken out of gods house.

Seeking answers over the horizon
by kenpodragon ina young indian man was sitting in his village one day, wondering what the world was all about.
he had questions like, why am i here and what is expected out of me in this life?
he decided he was old enough now, that he could sit with the tribal elders and ask these questions and get the answers he was seeking.
