  What year Did you Stop Attending Meetings - How Long were you a JW ?

  i'm trying to compare some statistics and figures on this to share later in the thread to see if more long-time witnesses are exiting- or are newer witnesses exiting after a shorter period of time.

  and - are more people exiting in the last 10 to 15 years than before.

  so your answers would be helpful in looking into this .

  Have you ever won anything? In a raffle, lottery, etc?

  i am so disgusted right now, more with myself than anything.. we have this big albertsons grocery store monopoly game going where i live.....the more of certain products you buy, the more tickets you receive.

  not only are there instant winners, but then you enter codes on line.. ha....after 2 months, i've won $5.00 and a bottle of clorox beach.

  i have spent more than i ever would have normally.

  I was sitting in a danky dark bar one night in Ogallala Nebraska...they had a lottery scratch off machine and I decided to stick in $10 and get 10 one dollar tickets...I go back to the bar sit down and begin scratching...I WON $25 dollars I had never won anything in my life...I motion to the bar keep and show her the ticket...she looks at the ticket (mind you it's very dark inside) and says you didn't win $25 you won $250...I about fell out of my chair as she peeled off $250 from the cash drawer...

  I've been type 2 for about 6 years now...it's a whole new lifestyle. You have to learn to eat all over again. You watch what you eat 24/7 it's not something you can just do when you feel llike it...exercise is important also I have lost 15 pounds in the last 6 months and I didn't even try (not that I need to lose much weight)...

  Turning in time?

  i have a problem.

  my hubby and i are tying to fade out completely, but we ran into a snag.

  my in-laws showed up with a stack of time slips and said that they will turn them in for us if we fill them out.

  The "fade" can be difficult with friends and family close by...You could fill them out with dummy hours but you would be expected to continue to turn them in...if you don't expect the knock on the door from the Elders...If it's a matter of not wanting to lose contact with your family you are just going to have to continue to live the lie and turn in the time slips...

  Attending Memorial

  well a friend who studying with the witness and i are going to attend a memorial next tuesday night.

  this is a congregation i've never been too and they won't know me since i'm not from the area we're attending.

  my friend has been studying with the witnesses about a year, i have been giving her the real information on them.
