i wanted to relate an experience that happened this morning.
it is regarding the new format for the meeting on thursdays in my area.
its not word for word but im summarizing what i heard, the best i can remember.
Whoever truly believes Aquila's stories still has their BS detector stuck in JW-mode.
I've questioned his stories before and was always downvoted for it...but I don't care. I just don't want people reading these forums thinking all apostates are just as gullible as their JW counterparts.

I wanted to add, in case it wasn't too known, that the other scientist mentioned by only his first name, "Gerard" is actually a JW.

They didn't remove the quote from most of the non-english languages. I wonder if Rama Singh knows they didn't fully retract it.

it used to be that if an adult child (either a non-believer or disfellowshiped/disassociated) lived "under your roof" and lived by the "bible standards of the home", the father could be appointed either a ms or elder as the case may be.
of course, if the adult child was a believer and a member of the congregation, they had to be exemplary.
i overheard at the meeting yesterday, taking place in a side conversation held in the corner, that if this living condition exists, the father cannot be appointed because of the presence of the non-participating adult child in the home.
