  20 Weeks Smoke Free

  meant to post this yesterday, but been so busy with life and marriage!

  yesterday was my 20th week anniversary on the day that i quit smoking!

  it feels so good to be smoke free, my wife is happier and so is my bank account, lol!.

  What do you do when the jw's call?

  they left me alone for a long time but the "territory" i live in seems to be more active.

  i am unable to just be the "nice lady" anymore and feel like i have to give them a 'thought for the day".

  i have always been a bit cautious as i am a 'final fade" for the past 17+ years and still have familiy in but the more i know, the less i can just wish them a nice day and respect what they are doing....

  I dont get called on often (once in last 3 years) and i just said not interested as it was 2 young guys, one about 16 and the other around 20. I would like to say SOMETHING if i ever get called on again but don't know what!

  Maybe my dad and elder sexually molested me and admitted it - do you think he should be an elder? (Ans should be YES as he has been told by the boe that he can work towards it 3 times that i know of since he first admitted it in 1998)

  how did the kangaroo, the koala bear, and the platypus get from noah's ark to australia?

  how did any animals get to australia for that matter?i know that this has been considered before but i just love asking jws this question.. nvr.

  the public talk was how satan uses his demons to stumble us.satan knows where we live,work and what we do at work and home.his demons use television,music,the internet,movies,sex and apostates to stumble faithful jehovah's witnesses.. the "spiritually weak" are what the demons look for because they can be attacked so easily.these are the ones who don't have studies with their families,watch too much television,go on the internet looking at apostate sites, brothers and sisters who are obsessed with sex,taking too many vacations,the love of money and all the pleasures of this world.that is why the wts loose so many members each year.. what they never tell you the real reason why most members leave are:,.

  lack of love,elders as judges arrangment,inconstistency in teachings,1914 generation change,theological dishonesty,scholastic ineptitude,favoritism within the boe,hypocrisy, and false prophesies.. .

  ok, so you know about my parents' and my email exchange.

  mom said come to meetings, i was genuine with her and told her why i don't, mom replies with denial of what she just read (like i am a confused baby), then i replied with an email that absolutely takes care of everything.

  from evolution vs creation, to the bible, to jehovah, and the wts.

  so friday my brother and i found a nursing home for my mom to stay at.

  it was a very hard thing to do.

  ((((sparkplug)))) she is in a safe place - you made sure of that by checking out the homes properly. So maybe (u prob wont :) ) u can relax a bit, take a day for yourself and then go see her, maybe don't take your daughter until your mom is settled in more.

  what was your journey here like?

  for me i have gone a long way, when i came here i loathed typing long posts, and hardly knew how to go about forums i was basically a forum virgin.

  Yeah - i was rubbish when they last came round too - but it was 1st visit in 3 yrs and just 2 lads so i wud hav been mean to say anything other than not interested. wish i could plant a seed of doubt in someone but im not that clever.
