Meredith's Letter from God...
by Confession ini found this in the blogosphere and wondered how it might strike my ex-jw friends.... -------------------.
this is one of the kindest things you may ever see.. it is not known who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office of the us postal service.. .
the day after she died, my 4 year old daughter meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed abbey.

The People Up There vs. The People Down Here
by Confession indo you ever detect a difference in the way people make evaluations of an organization, as compared to an individual?
how about a difference between the way people judge one who holds an office of some sort, compared to one who doesn't?.
it seems to me that many people have a different set of standards for, say, "the people up there" as opposed to "the people down here.".

My sister called! I've written her a letter...
by Confession ini was working in corpus christi this past weekend, when my sister called out of the blue on sunday.
she, like the rest of my family, is a very zealous jw, and since i am recognized as an apostate, i haven't seen nor spoken to her in about four years.
i was completely shocked that she called.

Received my tract last month--How it went at the door...
by Confession inso for the first time that i am aware of it, in my twenty-six months in this house, a jw came to my door.
i ran to my office to grab the script i'd prepared to recite should a jw ever come by.
it turns out she was engaged in the tract campaign.

Ran into the JW table at San Diego airport...
by Confession inyes, my ladyfriend and i were entering the san diego airport for our flight home to phoenix late yesterday afternoon, when i noticed a forty-ish man and woman sitting down behind a table loaded with wts publications.
i stopped to glance over them with joy.
i made familiar comments about some of the publications, noting the newer soft covers and trying to casually engage the pair in conversation.

Four Years Awake...
by Confession inyes, it was yesterday, september 15th, that marked four years to the day of my "awakening" from the watchtower coma.
it's been quite a ride, but here are the highlights.... -sept. 15, 2004: after months of investigation and mental gymnastics, i read tom cabeen's "does god work through an organization?
" this day, at 38 and in the third generation of a four generation jw family, i knew for sure i'd been misled.. -march, 2005: i am reinstated at my congregation.

There's a crack in everything...
by Confession init's unavoidable... when a jw finds out you no longer believe it's "the truth," they're eager to jump on flaws in your thinking.
they (and formerly, we) want to believe that, when someone leaves, there must have been something that "soured you" to the organization.
some personal thing that resulted in bitterness and therefore your departure.. it's good to be able to say that you didn't leave because of any big scandal or personal affront, isn't it?
