Just a few words of encouragement to all.

This must be one of my favorite songs of all time, so I typed all the words out, with BugEyes finger on the button of course.

    “Life of Brian” Monty Python

You know what they say …

Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When your chewing on life’s grizzle, don’t grumble give a whistle
This will help things turn out for the best

And … always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the light side of life

If life seems jolly rotten, there’s something you’ve forgotten
And that’s to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When your feeling in the dumps, don’t be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle, that’s the thing

And… always look on the light side of life
Always look on the bright side of life

For life is quite absurd and deaths the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about you scene, give the audience a grin
Enjoy it, its your last chance anyhow

So… always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life’s a piece of shit when you look at it
Life’s a laugh and deaths a joke its true
You’ll see it’s a show, keep em laughing as you go
Remember that the last laugh is on you

Always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life
Always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life

Worse things happen at sea you know
What you got to lose you come from nothing, you’re going back to nothing
    Nothing will come from nothing
Cheer up ya old bugger, come on give us a grin

Always look on the bright side of life

Hope you all enjoy as much as I do.

    Sorry all.

When I posted this I didn't realise that Americans didn't understand British Humor. I have since been "set straight".

    Not a dig at Americans.

I'm an american who loved that movie along with all MP movies. My husband sings the chorus to that song frequently, including the whistling between the lines.

British humor is the best. AbFab was one of my all time favorites! Had to have a glass of champagne while watching though. I can't resist watching Blackadder either. That is the funniest stuff.

What do Americans find hard to understand about this funny little song? I love this song's lyrics.

Other great examples of British humour : The Goodies, Are You Being Served, Dad's Army, The Good Life, To The Manor Born, just to mention a few....

Prisca I've got to agree. I love British comedy. Although I didn't like the "Goodies"

Remember "Open all hours"? One of my favorites. And "Yes Minister" and "Yes Prime Minister" are a couple more.

    Princess I like Blackadder too.

Excuse my sexual bent, here, but...

Is this a reference to you and BE indulging in a little hanky panky at the keyboard?
