or voluntarily restricting our choices and not insisting upon our rights-demonstrates"the same mental attidude that Christ Jesus had."

Surely we are willing to sacrifice some of our rights if that will enable "those not strong" to glorify God in unity with us. Truly, displaying an accommodating and generous disoposition toward Christians having a weaker conscience-or voluntarily restricting our choices and not insisting upon our rights-demonstrates"the same mental attidude that Christ Jesus had."Romans 15:1-5

And what "rights" might the WTS wish for people to "sacrifice" in order to keep from stumbling "weaker" Christians??

Possibly the right of parents to protect their children from paedophiles who lurk within the congregation? The rights of children to be protected from paedophiles whose "right" to confidentiality and freedom from having their precious reputations tarnished or Privileges? withheld ranks higher than the children's rights to safety?

Or what about the right of a Christian? wife to be free from abuse from her Elder? husband, when reporting the abuse might deprive him of Privileges? in the congregation?

Why is it that the people who are being asked to sacrifice their "rights", in many cases, are the very ones who need their rights protected the most??

    Love, Scully

I'm presuming that JW's now won't "insist on their rights" when faced with the possibility of receiving a blood tranfusion?
