.....and how many "publications" have admonished Jehovah's "True Christians" from wearing styles and trends that might "stumble" others or "give a bad witness" to worldly folk? Which articles strongly warned Christians from wearing gender-questionable styles?

I have spoken to Prince since his conversion to the WTS faith and he is trying *very* hard to fit into the WTS mould - suicide for the creative person. I have never been particularly drawn to his music, but he is a very creative person and it is sad to see his musical flame locked in a bell jar.
For better or worse, he really believes the WTS is the *truth* and uses every opportunity to preach about it to others. I actually admire him for his courage, though I do wish he had attached himself to a more worthy cause. One day he will find out he would have been better off inventing viagra for eunuchs than bowing his head before the 'Seven Stars', but until then you must respect the man for at least trying to live his version of faith, which is a lot more than many JW's *ever* attempt.

Yeah ....but what about all the women he would sleep with if he didn't become a witness.... and what about all the nasty immoral thoughts he would be putting into the minds of others if he didn't become a witness?????? I'm glad his music is locked in a mason jar bell jar, now he can't hurt peoples minds and he won't be humping everyone!

lol...Minimus and all your critics are correct, you are a bastard, and perhaps even an envious bastard. What makes Prince so very different from all the other music stars that you tap your life too? At least he was publicly honest about his sexuality, unlike yourself and Minimus whose multitudinous private sins would make a Willow weep...lol...

Total cheap shot. I admire him for it is obvious that he is striving for something he believes in. He has a faith and he is sacrificing in order to live up to it. That is more then many people can say, JW or otherwise.
I would like to be able to say that whatever makes him happy in life.....more power to him. The problem is.... I cannot say that about joining the witnesses. I don't wish anybodys life to be in bondage to men in the manner they hold others in bondage. Perhaps he will see this before he makes the plunge, if he hasn't already.

*snicker* I didn't know that behavior was limited to only "non" Witnesses. I know several JW relatives and other JW's who just can't stop getting disfellowshipped/publicly reproved/disassociated enough times for fornicatin'.

Not sacrificing TOO much, apparently. If a new, male "Bible Study" or any JW came around any of the KH's in MY area wearing the hairstyles and makeup that he does, regardless of the standard-issue suit and tie, he'd quickly be set straight as to the "proper" appearance of a "True Christian". A "regular" dude would have to buzz that shit down to a tight fade and lose the eyeliner real quick.

Cheap shot or no, I'll continue to "sneer" at him, the Williams sisters, and all the other "famous ones" who have the luxury of professing to be JW's while doing whatever the hell they want to do.
