I just received the following message from a friend this morning.

    Barbara

    --------------

Eloise Dupuis, 27 years old, died at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Lévis, Quebec, Canada, Wednesday, October 12th. She died because of her religious principles. She was a Jehovah's Witness and she had to refuse the blood transfusion that could save her life and allow her to hold her new born.

She had just given birth a week earlier to a little boy named Liam. Following a serious uterine rupture she lost a lot of blood and
agonized for a week before dying from an infection. Doctors have confirmed that a transfusion would have saved her life.

Éloïse did not want to die !

It still happens today ... cults kill people in the name of their God ... it is important that her story is known to all ... we need a law preventing cults to do what they want ... they should not be allowed to play with someone’s life.

If there was an official reporting or news piece for this of some sort, it would be much easier to legitimize it. I googled it, but nothing.

Sadly, most of the deaths due to the blood ban will go unreported. The only ones that make the news are the cases that involve legal action. *to add - or some remarkable and miraculous JW patient saved thru miracles of bloodless medicine

In this woman's case, there likely wasn't legal action taken. The laws in most countries allow a woman to commit suicide and leave behind a baby to grow up without knowing its mother.

Literally thousands and thousands of these kinds of deaths have gone, and will go, unreported in the news. That is why a personal report like this is valuable. Thank you for sharing, Barbara.
