Basically a fun time for all -- if one has family -- a really good family time -- that is what these holiday celebrations are about -- and why not?
Christmas to me is a festive time to gather your family and close friends around and give the ones that you love a token of your appreciation/feelings for them. I usually spend more and put more thought into presents that I give than went into what I receive, but that isn't what its all about. I feel like I'm making up for a lot of lost time in so many ways.
I just love the colors, the smell of the pine and cedar, the sound of the Christmas Music (ever listen to A Very Special Christmas I, II, or III?) .....
