similar in style to the year of the Bunker video, they must be spending a tidy sum on these videos these days, its clearly not having the desired effect though, they still haemorrhage members, sell off Branch facilities and KH's and report dreadful growth in most lands, I see a return of a couple of characters there, Sister Nasty Hatefilled Homophobe and Sister Token Chinese With a Nosejob!

The cult's hierarchy knows that the internet and the world's media networks now have the org in their cross-hairs - so it's time to close the sheep's eyes & ears to such information and replace it with the digitally-enhanced message of terror involving everlasting salvation/destruction. Russell & Rutherford had it easy; their modern-day counterparts are suffering. :)

I think the unintended effect of all this technological wizardry and its "shock and awe" impact on the masses will be to underscore just how tedious, boring, irrelevant and "dry as dust" their weekly meetings are in comparison. -

Conveniently, they slip the ''siege'' mentality videos to the very end. For the reason of burning that though in the JWs minds. The last point from the convention. Not to mention all the young minds within the crowd. Borderline child abuse.

Someone on another thread posted it. It is emotional manipulation on a whole new level. And yes, it is well-done, effectively designed to provoke an emotional response--fear and pride. It also amps up the "us versus them" stance. The filter used is something I haven't seen before and it adds an appealing light, which only serves to contrast between the good guys (you-know-who) and the bad guys (everyone else).

You know who else will be affected? All the studies that have been told about a nice paradise earth, so they've been coming to the meetings on Sunday.
Here is their first assembly and on Sunday, they see the writing on the video. Either you are with us or against us. It may scare some because they aren't on the golden ark yet and cause them to panic. Some might be uncomfortable seeing all the JW's beaming with joy over the death of the millions of people represented by the soldiers. Others will sneak off to the bathrooms and make a hasty exit out the doors, never to welcome another witness at their door.
I saw something similar happen about 8 or 9 years ago at the KH. One study was so scared after the sunday meeting because the special talk by the CO was about how close the big A was and everyone not baptized wouldn't make it. The over eager brothers in the hall were saying Come Lord Jesus Come! The poor guy was crying in fear. I never saw him again.
Hope most of the invited studies wise up.

Trouble is "Days of" that those studies (who likely are not the most robust of critical thinkers already) will ONLY see the "soldiers" taken out - not the nice crossing patrol lady down by the school or the kids that she helps cross the road.
The study will not equate the "wicked" with "all non-jw's" from the video.
You would need a good old fashioned ground opening, people and pet swallowing, car falling, fire and brimstone video for that.
