After a century of learning and teaching, the dubs are no closer to understanding what Jesus taught.

    God's Kingdom Rules Ch. 1 par. 9

9 How will God’s Kingdom come? When we pray, “Let your Kingdom come,” we are asking that the Kingdom take decisive action. When the Kingdom comes, it will exert its full power toward the earth. It will remove the present wicked system of things, including all man-made governments, and bring in a righteous new world.

    Luke 17:208 NWT

20 On being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God was coming,+ he answered them: “The Kingdom of God is not coming with striking observableness; 21 nor will people say, ‘See here!’ or, ‘There!’ For look! the Kingdom of God is in your midst.”

The know no more or no less than any other fraudsters peddling their biblical interpretations and hallucinations. Anyone claiming to know more is as deluded as they are.

Nice thread. The kingdom of God is Jesus just like the good news is Jesus . In 1 Corinthians chapter 15 it explains in detail what the good news of Christ is and in Galations states if that if someone teaches something other then Christ he will be cursed.

The Bible contains enough different writings for different belief systems to have their own contradictory thoughts.

They're always going on and on about how "the Kingdom was the central theme of Jesus' preaching".

I agree, the gospels depict Jesus always talking about "God's Kingdom", but did he ever actually say what exactly it literally was?

There are lots of parables and analogies: "the kingdom is like a dragnet...the kingdom is like a tree...the kingdom is like a seed..." and so on.

But where is there a clear, concise, explicit statement of Jesus stating what the kingdom actually IS?

    I sure can't find it.

One thing I do know: he absolutely, positively never said "it is an invisible heavenly government".

    Hi All,

The Kingdom of God is in your midst...that means it's in our hearts...doesn't 1Cor. 15:51-52 say:Look! I tell you a sacred secret: We will not all fall asleep in death, but we will all be changed,+ 52 in a moment, in the blink* of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound,+ and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we will be changed... it says in a blink of an eye, we will be raised up incorruptible...& be changed...so to me that means our corruptible hearts with be changed at a blink of an eye....WE (OUR HEARTST)WILL BE CHANGED WITH A BLINK OF AN EYE....that's why it says, it's in our midst....we are God's Kingdom...

The invisible heavenly gov't is just for the JW's to fit themselves into the picture....As they do all over the bible...they even say, Jesus was the first witness, ah, how can that be ? He is what witnessing is all about...They see them selves everywhere in the bible...that's why I know they are delusional....

None of us knows if this is all true in the bible...but faith is what we need just to make it through the day....not peoples interpretation of what they think God means.

Many things they don't know what it means...so this is just one of them...there are so much more...

Since the "Kingdom of (the Watchtower) God is not coming with striking observableness" and "people (will not) say, ‘See here!’ or, ‘There!’" ...then obviously, when this "decisive action." takes place, ...nobody will even notice.

LOL ... Kind of like everything else Watchtower does.

When the (Watchtower) Kingdom will exert its full power toward the earth, ain't nobody gonna say 'See here' or 'There'.

Yes good people, it's going to be a non-event. And...

"It will remove the present wicked system of things, including all man-made governments, and bring in a righteous new world." -but apparently everyone will be busy doing something else and go on with life without missing a beat. I guess people will be too preoccupied to notice all the governments are gone.

You have to be a complete moron to suck up all the Watchtower bilge water.

    Good thought.

Even disciples themselves have different concepts about Kingdom of God—some say it is within us, other say it’s external. Book of Revelation (along with some other writers) shows it is not within us, and it will come in lightning speed. Turn of events would be so swift that the Great World Power that had tremendous influence over the earth “is brought to ruin” as though in “one hour.” (Revelation 18:3, 10, 19) “One hour” signifies the speed with which things happen! Such a swift and unexpected destruction of a Super Power is now possible with the use of ultra modern EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) weapon which deadens all weapons of the target country leaving it in absolute black-out with its no electronic gadgets working! With one World Power gone, business community starts “crying and mourning.” (Revelation 18:11, 19) “Then shall be Great Tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now … If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive.” (Mathew 24:21, 22) This is a situation other parts of the Bible calls “Armageddon” in which rulers of “the whole world” suffer destruction (Revelation 16:14, 16) which will pave the way for the Kingdom of God to take over affairs of the earth.

Which one to believe--only time can tell us!

The "Kingdom of God" does not literally destroy world governments in the future any more than it did in Jesus' day.

The "Kingdom of God" is an ideology. The man does not enter the Kingdom until first the Kingdom enters the man.

Jesus taught us to pray "Let your Kingdom come". Express willingness to allow that Kingdom to enter your soul. "Let it come to me".

If the subjects of any kingdom do not first believe IN the kingdom, then that kingdom cannot exist. Any rulership must be willingly accepted. This is primary. The ideology must be part of you.

If people fail to accept the ideological principles of any government, then that government fails. It is "crushed". Non-confidence.

Goverments do not destroy anything. People who believe in Goverments destroy.

Armageddon is not caused by the Kingdom of God. These governments are destroyed in the hearts of man beforehand.

It is the Finger of God that destroys at Armageddon.

The "Kingdom of God" did not destroy Jerusalem in 70ce. It was the Kingdom of Rome that did that. The Kingdom of God destroyed the rulership of the false religious leaders of the Jews prior to the Roman's work.

Jesus said, as he hung on the timber, "Take courage, I have conquered the world".

    But Jerusalem still stood.
