Have a fully restored 86 Cougar and an 85 XJS. Both two doors, the Elders didn't like either of them. The other MS's did. Always asking me to let them drive them. Had a Dodge Stratus when they first came out, the ex took that one when she left! I stopped taking my work trucks to the Hall. The brothers always wanted to borrow tools and stuff from me. One time I left the back unlocked and an Elder opened it up and check out all my tools during the School and Service Meeting,( you can walk around in the big truck). I was not a happy guy! Maverick

I drove a... get this... 1988 K-car. It was indestructable! I had that puppy until around 2000, when the roof developed holes and water poured into the front seat every rain storm... and mould began. It was gone in days... not before I and a couple of friends smashed the thing to smithereens... or tried to. Floored it and tried to blow the engine... no go.

    Cookie cutter crap.

I also drove a rabbit, like a fellow poster here! I had a cool sticker on it, "Meat Puppets".. a good band... nobody knew what the heck was wrong with me, having a satanistic sticker like that on my car... I laughed it off.

I had a '67Chevy Camaro when I first joined the JWs.

Then I got a '62 Mercury (a very theocratic bucket of bolts)

Finally, I had a '72 AMC Javelin (which I dearly miss!)

Well in my Dub years I had the following: 87 Ford escort Station wagon, then 87 Cutlass sierra(2 doors), An 1990 Ford Taurus Staion, and then a 97 Toyota Tercel 4 doors (My first new car!!!) Now that I left the dubs I really have a Car they would like for field service a 95 Nissan Axxess Mini-Van with 4 doors. I remember all those talks about when choosing a car that you had to think about the service and that it was almost mandatory to take a 4 door car or minivan and that it had to have room in the back to carry your dub team!!!

Well, I always viewed our Kingdom Hall as a car show lot, let's say 75 spots out back, but the fabulous five (I called them) parked in front of the Kingdom Hall, we had the porsche, the Jag, the GTO, the corvette, and of course the 4 door chevette, every meeting always parked out front for the whole world to see as they were driving by.

My first car was a 89 chevy corsica that my sister gave to me...4 door yadda yadda. Good car actually...I gave it to a kid I go to college with and I still see it driving around...

But I was determined to get something NOT 4 door when I bought my own car. Now I have a 2001 chevy cavalier coupe. It has power everything and even some engine modification so it goes VROOM! very fast, very sexy, kinda loud.

JH what is the obsession with you and Metros?

Well, I wanted one each color. Cadillacs would have been too expensive... No, actually I love to change car every year or year and a half, so I get a car that I can afford. I pay for it cash, so I choose small ones. Up to now I had 13 new cars...in 21 years. Some like big expensive cars and keep them 10 years, I on the other hand like new cars, no matter how small they are. I never put any repairs on them cause they are fully guaranteed 3 years 60,000km. So who wants to buy my 2003 civic ?

My first car was a 1966 Plymouth Valiant. I never drove it in service. I then got an 81 monte carlo w/ T-tops. Loved it. Brothers hated it. I contiulaly got counseled about my car, my stereo in my car and the volume at wich I played it, how I drove my car...

Then, I got married and was conned persuaded to get a practical car...so I ended up w/ an escort wagon. an 88 I think. Then, I got a beaut of a 1978 Buick Electra with EVERYTHING on it. Man, they loved using it for service. I got the SUV bug and bought a 91 Mitsubishi Montero..justifying it as necessary for our rough rural territory. It was a great reason for me to go off roading and not catch crap for it. I then bought a 91 Ford Ranger. That's what I drove until I left. Now I have a 98 GMC extended cab 4X4 pickup. I also have an 83 BMW for my toy...just bought my wife a new Mazda 6 and plan on getting either a Nissan 350 Z or a Mazda RX-8 next year. F*CK service cars! I'm ready to punch that gas and tote that a$$!

I drove a '78 Oldsmobile station wagon. Very strange car for an 18 year old girl but, I was an 18 year old regular auxilary pioneer.
