12 hours ago someone resurrected a post by Marvin Shilmer from years ago. It was then that I realized that I haven't seen a post from him for a while. A check shows it's been 4 years. His blog has been disabled. Anyone know what's up?

I don’t know. His blog contained some useful information. I recall that he worked at different times with “Lee a Elder” and “John Cedars” (as Lloyd Evans was then known). Either of these may have information—more likely Lee Elder, who has posted on this forum from time to time.

Perhaps his identity was discovered locally, and he abandoned the online name for another, or for none at all. I do vaguely recall an elder, or former elder, being “outed” in a southern state associated with this name. I am being vague partly on purpose and partly forgetfulness.

I thought pete`s post was funny .I miss Marvin I appreciated his Jewish slant on topics christian .

To put it another way surely the Jews would have a much better understanding of writings by Jews than gentiles would ? wouldn`t they ?

I agree...it was both clever and funny.

Barbara Anderson requested some talk outlines from me and the return address was listed as "Marvin Shilmer".

Schilmer's site was called (I think) WATCHTOWER QUOTATIONS.
The closing of the site may have followed a 'cease and desist' order.
Somebody once gave me a PDF of his entire stock of quotations but damned if I can find it right now.

Note: I don't think I've opened it in seven years. You might as well run it through a virus detector software.
